Farm Credit Welcomes Huerth to Agribusiness Team

Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV) recently announced Tim Huerth would assume a Relationship Manager role on the Agribusiness team out of the Harrisonburg branch. Huerth joins FCV with years of experience in the financial services field and eagerness to begin building relationships with our current and future commercial ag operators.

Huerth was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and called Rocky Mount, Sanford, Wilmington and Cary, North Carolina, home for a time during his upbringing. He moved to Gainesville, Georgia, in high school, and then finally to the Staunton, Virginia, area where he settled and remains today with his wife Krystin and two daughters, Audrey and Olivia.

Huerth graduated in 2010 from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural and Applied Economics. Although Huerth spent the majority of his life in rural areas, his family encouraged him to pursue the banking aspect of agriculture.

Prior to his role at FCV, Huerth served 8 years as an Associate Financial Adviser, with other job opportunities in the financial services field prior to that.

In regards to what Huerth looks forward to bringing to his new role, he shared, “I am excited to bring drive and experience building and maintaining client relationships. This area is one of the most beautiful in the country and being able to work with and serve the rural populations throughout VA, WV and MD is an exciting prospect.”

Dustin Bowman, Regional Agribusiness Lending Manager and Huerth’s direct supervisor says, We’re excited to welcome Tim back to the Valley.  Tim comes from a long line of financial service professionals in addition to having family members with deep roots in agriculture.  His energy, compassion, and industry knowledge will serve him and his member borrowers well.”

In his spare time, raising his two young daughters is his priority. He shared, “Whatever free time I have is best spent with them. I’m also a huge sports so there is usually a game on TV. With baseball season gearing up, you can bet there will be an Atlanta Braves game on at the house.”
