Farm Credit Announces Relocation of Halifax Branch Office to South Boston

Farm Credit of the Virginias (FCV), a cooperative lending institution serving Virginia, West Virginia, and western Maryland, recently announced the relocation of their Halifax branch office. The new building, located at 4024 Halifax Rd., South Boston, Virginia, was officially cleared for FCV business-use on Monday, April 6th, 2020.

The new branch office, located in the Centerville area of South Boston, Virginia, can be found directly between the BB&T bank and McDonald’s. The new building features a fresh new lobby and larger conference spaces for meetings and loan closings, as well as increased accessibility for customers. The Halifax team had been operating out of the previous location since 1978.

Phone and fax numbers will remain the same as the previous office and are listed on the FCV website. South Boston branch staff can be reached directly via telephone at 434-476-6533.

Regional Sales and Lending Manager, Joey Cornwell, said, “We are excited to relocate to our new, larger office in Centerville. This move is a significant milestone for our team here in Halifax as we have been working on this relocation for the last few years.  We have been in our current office for over forty years and this new location accommodates our growing team, increases our visibility, and will enable us better serve our current and future customer-owners.”

In an effort to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, FCV loan officers and branch staff are currently practicing social distancing and limiting in-person interaction. While the new branch is still closed to the public, the South Boston team is looking forward to hosting a grand opening celebration later this year.
